Hike in the Binn valley<\/p>\n

Many mountain enthusiasts like to walk around the Aletsch area. However, the Binntal is an extremely beautiful valley that is sometimes unjustly forgotten. It has many flowers, butterflies and also beautiful stones. You can carve out the stones yourself with some tools. We have not done the latter yet, but the trip to the Binntalh\u00fctte is more than worth it in itself. It is about a 10 minute drive from the chalet.<\/p>\n
You first drive by car in the direction of Ernen. That is from the parking lot at the chalet to the left towards Brig. After about a kilometer, take the exit on the left to Ernen. Then follow the signs to Binn and you are in the Binntal. To go hiking, continue to the town of F\u00e4ld (or Imfeld). You can park here (for a fee).<\/p>\n
The route is well signposted to the Binntalh\u00fctte. In F\u00e4ld you are at 1546m and finally you go to the hut at 2250m. It’s about a 4 hour walk. You can then also go up another 100m from the hut to the Albrun Pass.<\/p>\n
The Albrunpas is the border with Italy. Incidentally, in the past the border was at the town of F\u00e4ld. Here is another boundary stone that indicates that the boundary once was here. However, after the Second World War, Switzerland took a piece of Italy. The small town has a restaurant right in front of this old boundary stone. The path on the way to the mountain hut passes right by here.<\/p>\n
The route is well marked and straight forward. Below is an impression of the trip. Along the way you will encounter many flowering plants, many butterflies and beautiful (semi-precious) stones (July 2020).<\/p>\n
