A quick update on something I really don’t want to talk about: COVID-19. The news is too much and I find myself looking at it with increasing reluctance. I also notice that people are cautiously looking for a nice skiing holiday, but do not like to book a winter sport with all the uncertainty. I can totally imagine that! I wouldn’t either. That is why we have decided that you can book chalet Belle Hélène without the fear of losing your money due to Corona. That is not necessary for us.
Adjustment of rental conditions during COVID-19
Our rental conditions contain a number of comments about cancellation and the costs involved. You can push this aside. Only 1 rule still applies: you can cancel free of charge up to one week before your rental starts. So if you are in doubt whether you will get your money back, that is in black and white with this one.
I have already agreed this with a number of tenants from the Netherlands and Germany. So with this one, this COVID-19 exception rule applies to everyone.
Cleaning
We have taken a number of measures to ensure extra cleaning. It is precisely the things that are often touched, such as door handles, handrails and the like, that are treated extra well.
Hand gel
We have stocked enough bottles of hand gel and are available for guests.
Ski area
The Aletsch Arena is open to skiers (and boarders of course). The lifts are expected to open in mid-December (as usual). Compared to other ski areas, it is a wonderfully large and therefore quiet area. You have plenty of room to enjoy boarding or skiing without having to stand (long) in front of the lifts.
If you have any questions, email us or give us a call. Contact details are at the top and bottom of each page.
Mountain greetings!
